What To Wear
For your best on-camera appearance, follow these guidelines:
- Solid shades of blue and gray bring out a healthy skin tone onscreen and are not a distraction
- Busy patterns and plaids draw attention away from your message
- Black and white clothing enhances skin tones on a television monitor
- Avoid sharp contrasts between your skin tone and clothing color
- Do not dress in clothes that match either your skin and hair colors, this washes out skin tone
- Avoid bright and bold red, green, and orange as these colors cause a hue that is distracting to the viewer
